Enemies With Me (Original Version) is the earliest known recording of the song that would later be reworked for R U Still Down? (Remember Me). Recorded during Tupac's pre-Death Row period, the original version features a noticeably different production and arrangement from the officially released remix.

The lyrics centre on betrayal, paranoia and the growing number of enemies that accompanied Tupac's rising profile. These themes would continue to dominate much of his work throughout the mid-1990s and are already fully developed in this early recording.

When R U Still Down? (Remember Me) was assembled following Tupac's death, the original master was substantially reworked. New production was created by We Got Kidz Productions and guest vocals from Dramacydal were added, resulting in the version officially released in 1997.
