Enemies With Me was officially released on R U Still Down? (Remember Me), Tupac's second posthumous studio album. The version released in 1997 differs significantly from the original recording, featuring newly added production by We Got Kidz Productions alongside the original Live Squad production, together with newly recorded guest vocals by Dramacydal.

The song centres on betrayal, paranoia and the growing number of enemies surrounding Tupac as his profile continued to rise. Dramacydal's additional vocals were recorded specifically for the posthumous release, giving the finished version a noticeably different feel from the original studio recording.

For the Live Squad archive, Enemies With Me is particularly significant because it retains production and songwriting contributions from Stretch and Majesty, despite the extensive reconstruction carried out for the 1997 album. The original unreleased recording is documented separately within this archive as Enemies With Me (Original Version).

Recording History

The original recording dates from Tupac's Interscope years and was one of many songs revisited during the compilation of R U Still Down? (Remember Me). For the commercial release, new instrumentation and programming were added by We Got Kidz Productions while the original Live Squad production was retained as part of the finished recording. Dramacydal also recorded new guest vocals, resulting in a substantially different version from the unreleased original.

Unlike some posthumous Tupac releases that completely replaced the original production, Enemies With Me retains official production credit for Live Squad, reflecting Stretch and Majesty's contribution to the original recording.
