Overview

Wannabe is an unreleased recording by Live Squad, believed to have been recorded during the sessions for the group's planned debut album, Game Of Survival. Although the album was completed for Tommy Boy Records, it was ultimately cancelled before its commercial release, leaving a number of recordings officially unheard.

Unlike several other songs from the project that later surfaced through Grand Imperial Records, Wannabe has never been officially released in full. Only a brief audio snippet has circulated among collectors, making it one of the most sought-after recordings from Live Squad's early catalogue.

For the Live Squad archive, Wannabe represents one of the few remaining unreleased tracks from the original Game Of Survival sessions that has yet to surface in complete form.

Recording History

The song is believed to have been recorded around 1990 during the sessions for Live Squad's debut album. Produced while the group was signed to Tommy Boy Records, the recording formed part of the original album before the project was shelved prior to release.

Although the complete recording has never been officially released, a short snippet has circulated among collectors over the years, confirming the song's existence. No complete studio version has been made publicly available.

Because only a fragment of the recording has surfaced, details such as the final running time, recording personnel and production notes remain undocumented.
