Overview
5 Deadly Venomz closes 2Pac's second studio album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z... and is one of the strongest examples of the creative partnership between Tupac and Live Squad during the early 1990s. Produced by Stretch, the recording brings together Tupac, Stretch, Young Majesty, Treach of Naughty by Nature and Apache for a multi-artist showcase of lyrical ability over a hard hitting East Coast production.
Unlike many of Tupac's collaborations of the period, the track places equal emphasis on each performer, allowing every MC to contribute a full verse. Stretch not only produced the record but also appears as a featured vocalist, making it one of his most significant official contributions to Tupac's catalogue.
Although never released as a single, 5 Deadly Venomz has become a favourite among fans of both 2Pac and Live Squad, standing as one of the final tracks on the album and one of the clearest examples of Stretch's production style during his years working alongside Tupac.
