Overview

Moving Keez Wit Ease is a Live Squad recording originally produced during the sessions for the group's planned debut album, Game Of Survival. Although recorded in the early 1990s while the group were signed to Tommy Boy Records, the song remained officially unreleased until Grand Imperial Records reconstructed and issued the album in 2001.

The track reflects the raw street narratives that became synonymous with Live Squad's early catalogue. Like much of the material recorded during the Tommy Boy years, Moving Keez Wit Ease explores themes of survival, hustling and life on the streets of South Jamaica, Queens.

Although it was unavailable for almost a decade, its eventual release helped complete the story of the cancelled Game Of Survival project and introduced another chapter of Live Squad's early work to a wider audience.

Recording History

Moving Keez Wit Ease was recorded during Live Squad's original sessions for Tommy Boy Records, alongside tracks including Game Of Survival, Pump For A Livin', Heartless and Murderahh!.

When Tommy Boy cancelled the Game Of Survival album, the recording was left in the vault together with much of the group's remaining material. Following the formation of Grand Imperial Records, Majesty revisited the project and finally released the album in 2001, allowing Moving Keez Wit Ease to receive its first official commercial release.

The song remains an important example of Live Squad's original Tommy Boy-era sound before the group moved towards the darker production style heard on their later unreleased recordings.
