Overview
Although credited as a 2Pac recording, Crooked Nigga Too is included in the Live Squad archive due to the appearance of Stretch (Randy Walker), whose performance forms an important part of the recording.
Recorded during the sessions for Troublesome 21, the track captures the creative partnership between Tupac Shakur and Stretch during one of the most productive periods of their collaboration. Produced by Big D Evans, the song remained officially unreleased in its original form for many years, circulating instead on promotional DAT and cassette copies that became highly sought after by collectors.
In 2004 the recording was revisited for Tupac's posthumous album Loyal to the Game, where Eminem produced a completely new remix. Although substantially different from the original recording, the remix introduced the song to a much wider audience while preserving Stretch's writing credit.
